Snowbank

Artist

Marina Baisel

Year

2024

The Snowbank series embodies the idea of a traditional winter lodge, lost among snowy covers. Its concise rounded shapes are reminiscent of snow caps, softly enveloping the wooden logs. This collection evokes a sense of sanctuary and tranquility, where time seems to stand still amidst the ethereal glow of the winter sun reflecting off the warm wooden walls.

Marina Baisel

Marina Baisel is a Dubai-based product designer and interior designer, graduate of the Higher School of Design. In her works, the author often reflects on the potential interconnection between the future human and the environment, and the tendency to forget the past in the whirlwind of today’s events.
Marina’s art is based on transforming mundane objects from reality; by processing them through her inner world, she creates new and unique interpretations. As an artist, Marina aims to reinterpret our world in her works and draw viewers’ attention to important socio-cultural themes. In an era of active environmental and social discourse, her work reminds us that in the race for the future, the original sources and images are often forgotten.
